Desolation Sound

Desolation Sound is a special cruising ground that is rustic, remote and majestic. It offers some of the finest cruising in the world through deep channels and fjords, with vistas of snow-capped mountains beyond. Up there, the cruising just seems to get better the farther north you go.

In addition to surprisingly quiet anchorages, you’ll find small, family-run marina resorts where you’ll have the opportunity to meet many new boating friends. What these marinas may lack in the way of facilities, they more than make up in down-home hospitality and remote, rugged beauty.

The Broughtons

“The Broughtons” – though the true Broughton Archipelago lies about another 70 miles to the northwest. You could say the Broughtons cruising area starts just north of Desolation Sound and extends to the network of islands above North Broughton Island.

Even more gorgeous and remote than desolation sound, and makes for less crowded anchorages and much more wild life to be seen.

A spot called Echo bay, draws boaters from all over to visit her beauty over a summer cocktail.

The Puget Sound region is a coastal area of the Pacific Northwest in the U.S. state of Washington, including Puget Sound, the Puget Sound lowlands, and the surrounding region roughly west of the Cascade Range and east of the Olympic Mountains.

This area thrives in diverse cruising grounds and endless anchorages and marinas.

The San Juan's are located right in between seattle and the south eastern tip of Vancouver Island.

These islands merely tickle the Canadian border, which makes them a great escape spot to more memorable cruising locations. With many to choose from, and most of them being inhabited, it is easy to make your way around them, with comfort and ease.

Lots of different docks and plenty of restaurants and grocery stores makes cruising the San Juan's a no brainer for the avid West Coast boater.

The Gulf Island's, each having their own unique feel and cruising challenges. Montague harbour located on Galiano Island is a definite must see, with its amazing restaurant and stunning anchorages, its no wonder why people from all over flock to see its magnificent beauty.

Saltspring / Pender and Mayne are all very beautiful islands as well, boasting holisitic and "island grown" wine, produce, and bakery goods. These islands will captivate you in the nature, the friendly locals and the not less then astounding anchorages and marinas.
